“Latinx — a term born of a desire to provide a gender-neutral alternative to “Latina” or “Latino” — is one of the latest points of contention in the culture wars, and, sometimes, a source of intense family debate.” washingtonpost.org
Latinx1 is whitesplaining2 for woke cultural oppressives. Sounds kinda racist, right? The people who are whitesplaining new culture into other ethnicity’s past traditions are of many races. Does that excuse them? No. They either don’t realize what they’re doing, or they’re too stupid to realize that it might not exactly be racist, but it is definitely part of their systemic racism hierarchy. Yes, their systemic racism hierarchy. These woke diversity types don’t see racism like everyone else, even though they think everything and everyone is created or born racist. They think they’re the last people in the world who could ever be racist while at the same time keeping a personal journal to keep track of their progress living with internalized racial superiority.
White people telling another culture how to exist does make it racist oppression adjacent, at a minimum. I say white people because this has KAREN WAS HERE written all over it. Some white progressive professor of some prestigious academic level who does nothing but think about how racist she is and how to fix problems that never existed in the first place. They had to have created Latinx, for the sake of inclusivity to a minority, even if it’s bothersome to the majority. For the sake of progression, even though the outcome is always more oppression. We must all bow down to the Karens of the world because we are all racist and we have to let the Karens declare the unneeded solutions. If not, we could hurt someone’s feelings. Then we would be cancelled by the Klan of Karenhood3 (AKA The Constantly Victimized Mob) and lose our livelihoods. That is just part of their systemic racism hierarchy. And Latinx has now been elevated in their hierarchy by their new dope inclusive term.
Dictating Latinx out of thin air is kinda like when a foreign government has had their leader or entire regime replaced in a behind the scenes C.I.A. coup like you’d see on Showtime’s Homeland. Instead, it’s uber-liberal woke white people dictating what’s best for another culture. Let’s face it, there was no Latino G13 summit where leaders of numerous Latino countries came together and proposed new vocabulary to fix a problem they didn’t even know existed. There wasn’t any round table discussions of all Latinos orchestrating solutions to cultural issues. This was white people. It had to be because only white people come up with solutions for problems that don’t exist.
Even though Latino, or Hispanic, is already an all encompassing term, I could kinda see Latinx making sense if it was only used by non-binary people. I don’t have any problem with people wanting to do their own thing. I have a problem with unnecessary imposition. If people who identify as non-binary wanted to start placing an X in their ethnic identity label, I guess that would make some sense. Like Americxn, or Blxck. This isn’t that, though. Latinx is a term being used to identify all Latino people. So if the original intention of inception was to create a gender neutral identifying term, then it no longer stands for it’s reason of existing.
“Language should not be twisted like a pretzel in service of a radical political agenda or to accommodate and placate a vocal but minuscule minority.” heritage.org
Is the Latino community supposed to just change their entire language and culture because of Karen’s appropriation fantasies? And it’s not just the Latino community that could face this new destruction of culture. Spanish, for instance, isn’t the only romance language that has masculine and feminine properties. There’s also French, Italian, Portuguese and Romanian. For example; hermano means brother in Spanish and hermana means sister in Spanish. The O at the end makes it masculine and the A makes it feminine. So essentially, all of the romance languages could now be facing an existential threat of woke homonormative4 proportions.
When asked what they think of Latinx, (I imagine) the overwhelming majority of the Latino community laugh as if this was a joke. In other words, they don’t agree with it, and don’t want to participate. They think it’s stupid. And rightfully so because it is. It makes no sense to people who have grown up in an entire culture full of masculine and feminine themes, including their language. Language is expression. Expression creates culture. Culture defines communities. Communities build our society. If I was part of the Latino community, I would take this as an insult.
According to a Pew Research Study from 2019, “76 percent of those surveyed hadn’t heard of the term, and that of the 23 percent who had, only 3 percent used Latinx. Also, among those surveyed, 61 percent preferred to use Hispanic, while 29 percent preferred Latino.” The study notes “that they surveyed a little more than 3,000 U.S. adults who identified as Hispanic or Latino; elsewhere they’ve noted that the Hispanic and Latino population in the U.S. was more than 62 million as of 2021.”
The type of people who probably love to identify as Latinx are young Latino college students who are being taught that everything is racist and communism is the answer. Young Latino college students that believe they’re non-binary or some species of trans and use neo-pronouns like Dragonball-Z. They’re surrounded by nonsense and once they’re removed from that environment they always go back to their roots and that which is just natural.
"When Latino politicos use the term it is largely to appease white rich progressives who think that is the term we use. It is a vicious circle of confirmation bias” Ruben Gallego
John Leguizamo is the only person I’ve ever heard un-ironically say Latinx. Every time he says Latinx, not only is he insulting his ancestors and embarrassing himself, and his family, he is also ringing the bell for his cult. I’m assuming deep down he’s afraid of being cancelled and/or losing work and attention for not participating. When asked about the new Super Mario Bros movie, he said “they messed up the inclusion.” He also added “I’m not bitter.” Ironic. Then when asked about starring in a possible Super Mario Bros sequel "If they start to do the right thing and add more inclusivity, I'd consider it.” Maybe John attended some woke reeducation therapy? I don’t know but I feel embarrassed for him when he says things like that. Inclusion? Are you serious? Using words like inclusion tells me you’re in a cult. A cult that believes everyone is racist beyond their own willingness. A cult that follows Karen’s lead or else. And Karen is leading the world into destruction with diversity, equity and inclusion. Inclusion is one of several reasons Latinx exists. Inclusion might as well be another word for equity which in today’s world means forced outcomes. And I can’t accept that any clear thinking Latino would ever choose to identify as Latinx unless they were forced to, which in a sense, would be a forced outcome.
“‘Latinx' is the latest scapegoat from the right to get people riled up and upset 'wokeness' or whatever the right likes to call it.” MAIA GIL’ADI
This quote squatting above these words and failing to be anywhere near prevalent, is so dumb and limited, to put it as simple as possible. And it’s also a great example of another problem of today that I’m not going to go too deep into right now. That problem is labeling anyone that goes against one’s opinion as “THE RIGHT.” As if people are unable to have independent thoughts and takes on topics. They must be part of a group that has spent endless hours reeducating and brainwashing everyone involved to only think one way, and that everything that is different or new is bad, harmful and shouldn’t be accepted; “THE RIGHT.” It would be so easy for me to immediately reply with “Only ‘THE LEFT’ do things like that and think that way” but I’ve never been one to like things easy.
This kind of thinking is harmful to society, and to my feelings. It’s successfully inclusive of today’s group think while expressing hate against opposition of any kind, instead of discussion to possibly find common ground. For now, we remain divided. It’s also another reason why so many people will not engage with or use Latinx. It was determined by someone else (Karen) and thrusted upon them without any thought or insight of how condescending and insulting it could be. Just like a Karen would.
Please take this as a wake up call. The best thing you can do is say NO! If Latinx was to be fully accepted by the masses, this woke homonormative oppressive colonialism will not stop there. It will get even worse. It will embolden the woke diversity cult to embark upon re-identifying every culture one by one until they realize it would just be easier to re-identify everyone under one umbrella. I know, it’s redundant.
This article was originally created as purely opinion. While doing additional research I found that I am not the only one that feels this way. It wasn’t hard to find other articles that are against using Latinx. Finding articles embracing Latinx was, though. I have at least 30 articles bookmarked and maybe 2 of them have something positive to say about Latinx. The rest of them have headlines like Why 'Latinx' Hasn't Caught on With Latins, For Most Latinos, Latinx Does Not Mark the Spot, The term 'Latinx' is less inclusive and diminishes Hispanic ..., Latino groups want to do away with “Latinx”, Why I hate the term "Latinx" (opinion). States like Arkansas and Connecticut are either proposing legislation or already have passed new laws banning the use of Latinx in government documents. Headline articles may lead one to believe it is only conservatives that are against using Latinx but they would be wrong.
“Maybe it’s time to get rid of labels that compartmentalize people and instead treat each other as equals because at present the racial atmosphere created by marginalization may lead to a more divided America.” sandiegouniontribune.com
Latinx is a neologism in American English which is used to refer to people of Latin American cultural or ethnic identity in the United States. The gender-neutral ⟨-x⟩ suffix replaces the ⟨-o/-a⟩ ending of Latino and Latina that are typical of grammatical gender in Spanish. Its plural is Latinxs. wikipedia.org
Whitesplaining is just like mansplaining but instead of a man stereotypically explaining something to a woman in a condescending or patronizing way, it’s a person of any race or gender stereotypically explaining progressive white Karen ideology to anyone in a condescending or patronizing way. Klan of Karenhood is a mob of people who have underdeveloped prefrontal cortexes. A group of individuals who are always victimized because of their identity. Their power comes with their numbers and their inability to take no for an answer, or any personal responsibility whatsoever. Mostly known for their ability to cancel someone. Robot Boob
Homonormative - Homonormativity is the privileging of heteronormative ideals and constructs onto LGBT culture and identity. It is predicated on the assumption that the norms and values of heterosexuality should be replicated and performed among homosexual people. wikipedia.org
